Comparison Differs from Cyathotrochus in having granular, trifurcating costae and alate edge costae. [details]

Diagnosis Corallum cuneiform, with a rounded base and prominent granular, alate edge crests; GCD up to 16 mm; theca imperforate; costae granular, higher cycle costae originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in 4 cycles; P1-3 prominent in 3 crowns; columella papillose. [details]

Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Four species are placed in this genus (Cairns, 1997; Cairns and Zibrowius, 1997), the two late Cretaceous species (Filkorn, 1994) being tentative. [details]
