Two tubificids, Peloscolex amplivasatus sp.n. and Macroseta rarisetis gen. et sp.n., are described from the west coast of Norway. The first species is distinguished from other closely related marine species of Peloscolex mainly by its very short, wide vasa deferentia and the shape of the penis sheaths. The second species is characterized particularly by a few very large, straight, single- pointed setae, the vasa deferentia entering the atria distally, and thick, spindle-shaped atria, each with one solid prostate at the apical proximal end and one, which is more diffuse, at the distal end. The author proposes the new genus Macroseta be placed in the subfamily Rhyacodrilinae Hrabĕ, 1963, mainly because it shows morphological similarities to the genus Rhyacodrilus Bretscher, 1901.
