Phallodrilus elongatus n.sp. (Oligochaeta Tubificidae) from the lower intertidal zone of the beach at Sar Uanle, near Chisimaio, southern Somalia, has single-pointed, straight, posteriorly directed penial setae, two per bundle, and small penes, a combination of characters not known for any other member of Phallodrilus Pierantoni.
