Taxonomic remark Halitiarella apicea has abaxial ocelli, thus is not matching the genus diagnosis of Bouillon (1980) for Halitiarella. Also the interradial tentacle bulbs are atypical. It likely referrable to the genus Merga, however, a comprehensive molecular analysis of the Protiaridae is needed first. [details]
