Note that Leloup (1935) also introduced the name Sertularella tenella f. peculiaris, which is recognized as subspecies because it has been published before 1961. It is thus formally a junior homonym of Sertularella tenella (Leloup, 1935) as subspecies are treated equally to species level names by the ICZN.
