Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Horst (1912: 38): "Body oblong oval, agreeing in general appearance with that of Chloeia. Caruncle short, with three parallel, longitudinal ridges. Eyes absent. Branchiae commencing on the 6th segment, strongly developed on the posterior segments. Furcate bristles. An unpaired anal cirrus."
