Taxonomy Darboux (1899) gives little information on the basis for this genus. There appears to be almost nothing since published that uses or comments on the genus name. Hartman (1966:175) records Kermadecella magnipalpa, the only species, from shallow water near Hawaii. This record may be doubtful as McIntosh's original record was from about 1100 m depth. [details]
