Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Reibisch (1893: 252) in a key: "B. In die Rüsselwand sind zahlreiche kleine Drüsen eingelagert. Tentakelcirren vier bis sechs. Die zugehörigen Chaetopodien stets vorhanden. 1) Tentakelcirren sechs, vier dorsale, zwei ventrale. [...] b. Die den vorderen vier Tentakelcirren zugehörigen Chaetopodien mit kurzen einfachen Borsten. Dorsal- und Ventralcirren flach walzenförmig.''
