Diagnosis Original diagnosis by de León-González & Solís-Weiss (2000: 552-553): ''Prostomium pentagonal, with one pair of frontal antennae and two pairs of rounded eyes. Peristomium without parapodia or setae; with four pairs of tentacular cirri. Pharynx with chitinous paragnaths in both pharyngeal rings, and in area VII-VIII one row of soft papillae intercalated with chitinous cones. Parapodia of the first two setigers subbiramous, the rest biramous. Dorsal cirri inserted medially; notopodium with a dorsal and median ligule, and a small superior lobe; neuropodium formed by one postsetal lobe and a ventral ligule. Notosetae homogomph spinigers. Neurosetae homogomph and heterogomph spinigers, and heterogomph falcigers.'' [details]
