Classification Originally created by the Berkeleys classified in the Capitellidae. However, by 1950 they recognised the species belonged in Branchiomaldane in Arenicolidae. [details]

Diagnosis Authors diagnosis: "Capitellidae having only capillaries in the notopodia, and only crotchets in the neuropodia, both being of essentially the same type throughout the body." However, the genus and species belong in the Maldanidae, not Capitellidae. See new combination in Fournier & Barrie (1987: 101) [details]
