Synonymy The Californian Eulalia aviculiseta Hartman, 1936 was considered to be a junior synonym of E. quadrioculata Moore, 1906, from Washington, by Banse (1972: 194-195). However, Pleijel et al (2012: 4) maintain E. aviculiseta as valid, while acknowledging that Banse's synonymy of it to E. quadrioculata needs further examination: "We are at present not able to state if this is correct or not, but the two seem to be at least very closely related. [...] new specimens should be collected from Moore's type locality for both molecular and morphological comparisons with the Californian ones." [details]
