Etymology Not stated, but obviously after the country in which Phylo novazealandiae is indigenous. [details]Spelling WoRMS had recorded the spelling wrongly until corrected, for which apologies. Day chose to use the spelling of the species name as Phylo 'novazealandiae', NOT the more expected 'novaezealandiae'. He uses the 'nova' spelling four times, including in the key and in the figure 3 caption, so there is no doubt that it was deliberate. WoRMS has only three other species in which this spelling is used, as against some 142 species name combinations using the conventional 'novaezealandiae' [details]
