Description The complete description and location information is: "testa anfractibus subdiscoideis; costis tribus rotundatis; apertura subrotunda. Habite la Nouvelle Hollande , an port du Roi Georges. On en trouvé une presque semblable, dans la Manche, près da Croisic. M. Ménard. Later Chenu (1842 and following years) published a plate with a figure from the museum specimen.

Authority In the Hartman catalogue the authority is listed as Mörch, 1863, p 465, but this is incorrect. Lamarck is the author, and Mörch on his page 465 (part of a long list of Spirorbis species names) correctly lists the species as authored by Lamarck.
