New combination From Hartmann-Schröder (1962: 159-160): "Aus Peru ich (Hartmann-Schröder 1960 a) eine verwandte Art irrtümlich als Pseudoampharete tentaculata beschrieben. Es handelt jedoch um eine Terebellidae, da die Tentakeln nicht eingezogen werden können, und zwar um eine neue Art der Gattung Polycirrus, die der oben beschriebenen P. multisetigerus sehr nahe steht. Sie weicht hauptsächlich in der Form der Borsten und der Haken von der oben beschriebenen Art ab. Sie muβ darum Polycirrus tentaculatus heiβen." [details]
