Status is a vermetid fide Keen (1961: 187, 189), also in Bieler (1996: 26). Based "Le Dofan" of Adanson (1757: 164, pl. 11, fig. 3). Adanson’s type specimen of Le Dofan seems no longer to be discoverable (Fischer-Piette 1942: 264). The type figure does not permit specific determination (Bieler & Petit 2011: 15). [details]
