Editor's comment Included in the three original taxa of new genus Lumbrineris, and Pettibone (1963: 257) designated it as the type of Lumbrineris Blainville, but the species probably is not a Lumbrineris. See the original record. As noted by Savigny (1822) it appears to be an Oenone (with nuchal antennae, although Savigny's concept of Oenone may have been different from the current concept). Lumbrineris ebranchiata (Pallas) was included as the representative Lumbrineris species in later editions of Cuvier's Regne Animal. For example it is in the German translation of 1836 (https://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/19174361 [details]
