Nodellum moniliforme, Ammomarginulina hadalensis and Favocassidulina subfavus are new species from Recent deep water sediments of the eastern South Pacific. Of the three species, N. moniliforme is the most broadly distributed and has the least potential for paleoecologic interpretation. A. hadalensis is restricted to depths of about 4,900 to 6,500 m in the Peru-Chile Trench, which serves as the main eastern path for the flow of Antarctic Bottom Water northward. Favocassidulina subfavus occurs between depths of 3,954 and 4,088 m on the Nazca Plate, just above the regional calcite compensation depth. Specimens representing F. subfavus have also been reported in the western South Pacific.
