Nomenclature Jouin diagnosed this entity as Protodrilus hypoleucus Armenante forma tenuis Jouin. Then Jouin (1970: 406 ) added further description, again as P. hypoleucus forma tenuis. However, an infrasubspecific name cannot be erected after 1960 (Art.45.6). Martínez, Di Domenico, Rouse & Worsaae, 2015 then, without comment on the status of 'tenuis, then 'recombined' this name as 'Claudrilus tenuis'. However, the name is not available, does not enter zoological nomenclature (ICZN 1.3.4, 15.2) and cannot be made valid in that way.
