Etymology Not stated. Ehlers (1901) indicates the material was collected by the ship of the Swedish explorer Nordenskjold in the Magellan area, in 1895, 1897. Aricia ohlini, evidently a genitive from a family name 'Ohlin', is likely named for Axel Gabriel Ohlin (31 July 1867 – 12 July 1903), a Swedish zoologist and Arctic and Antarctic explorer, evidently present on these particular voyages as Ehlers mentions him several times [details]
