Authority Hartman catalogue attributes this name to Augener, 1918, but he is clearly creating a usage of the original name Terebella lapidaria of Linnaeus. He gives the author as Kähl. which is a reference to Kähler (1754) a work which predates the start of Linnaean nomenclature, and from which Linnaeus derived his Terebella lapidaria name.
