Type locality Palau. Not the Philippine Islands. Grube (1878:iii) states "Ausser den Philippinen kommt noch Aibuhit auf Bahaltaub [sic], einer der Palaos-Inseln ..." ["Apart from the Philippines Aibuhit is on Bahaltaub [today Babeldaob], one of Palaos Islands"]. Type locality is thus Aibuhit on Babeldaob, the main island of Palau, Western Caroline Islands. Information on "Aibuhit" could not be found, and currently the location may be spelled differently from Grube's usage. [details]
