Taxonomy Nereis rosea was made a synonym of Nereimyra aphroditoides by Pleijel, Rouse & Nygren (2012), although both were described (in Nereis) by Fabricius in the same work. There were no types of either taxon, but Pleijel et al (2012) created a neotype for N. aphroditoides [details]
