Conspecificity of specimens collected by F.J. Myers in New Jersey brackish water habitats (ANSP 38, 1354) with N. foliacea requires confirmation. They deviate by spatulate caudal processes and differences in the dorsal lorica pattern (see specimen images by Jersabek et al. (2003)). [details]
