Descriptor: Antennella ansini The benthic hydroid fauna of the Chafarinas Islands (Western Mediterranean), collected during a survey in the summer of 1991, has been studied. A total of 86 species, 20 athecate hydroids and 66 athecate hydroids, has been recorded. For every species, the synonymy, a survey of the material studied and data concerning ecology and distribution are included.
