Diagnosis Test attached, irregular in outline, up to 3 mm or more in diameter, flattened, interior with nonseptate ramifying cavity, producing a labyrinthic structure; wall agglutinated, with a floor against the attachment, outer surface smoothly finished; upper surface with a few scattered pustules constructed of quartz sand and mud particles similar to the rest of the wall but lacking cement, so that the interstitial pores could serve as an aperture.
