description Heterometra with enlarged proximal pinnules slender and smooth, with basal segments more or less abruptly rounded, sharpened, or obscurely carinate on the side toward the arm tip. Cirri with 25-36 (usually about 30) subequal segments usually about as long as broad; distal cirrals more or less carinate aborally but without aboral spine or tubercle. Arms 10-26 (usually 15-20), 60-145 mm long; brachials very short. [details]
