Diagnosis Test small, flaring, chambers globular and inflated and sutures depressed in the adult, three chambers per whorl in the early stage but later may be reduced to two per whorl; wall calcareous, hyaline, finely perforate, optically granular, surface smooth and polished; aperture a short curved slit near the base of the apertural face, with narrow bordering lip on the upper margin but no internal toothplate.
