Description Carapace large, quadrate, and_ extremely thick. Dorsal margin straight, ventral Marginal convex. Anterior broad and evenly rounded; postenor blunt, almost flat, posterodorsal cardinal angle pronounced (obtuse). Carapace rnamented with a series_ of heavy, irregularly shaped, regularly spaced reticulations. Reticulations occurring around the antenor, anterodorsal and ventral margins generally less clearly defined. Marginal carina prominent. Marginal denticulations present anteroventrally and posteriorly. Subcentral tubercle very weakly developed. lnte_rior . duplicture w ide throughout. Sel vage strong, penpheral ante_norly and posteriorly, subperipheral ventrally. Vestibules present, narrow . Marginal pore canals few , straight and simple. Hingement typical for the genus. [details]
