Diagnosis Test unilocular but double specimens may occur, ovate to pyriform, circular in section; wall calcareous, hyaline, translucent, surface with a few heavy longitudinal ribs that extend up the wall from a circular ring near the test base to merge into a ringlike collar just below the apertural neck; aperture rounded at the end of the brief smooth neck, provided with a short, straight entosolenian tube.
