Nordsieck, 1982: 144), treated as a subgenus of Cerithium Bruguière, 1798 (e.g. Houbrick, 1974: 37; Baluk, 2006: 198) or ignored (Giannuzzi-Savelli et al., 1996; Gofas et al., 2011: 137). Until a definive phylogenetic is published, the name Thericium is tentatively retained as the valid genus for the European/Mediterranean species.  [details]
