Ecology the species was previously known only from a subtidal, brackish water site, in the bank of a tidal channel in mangroves.This appears to be a habitat very similar to those of the new material, although at the time of collection (dry season), the Darwin mangrove creeks probably were at full coastal salinities. [details]
