Classification Listed in a self-standing superfamily Clavagelloidea by Bieler, Carter & Coan (2010) but there is convincing evidence (Carter, 1978; Morton 2007, 2009) that the Clavagellidae and Penicillidae were derived from the Lyonsiidae, bringing into question the superfamily Clavagelloidea. [details]
