A new species of Schroederella (Polychaeta, Orbiniidae, Protoariciinae) collected in the Mediterranean Sea is described. This is the first record of the genus Schroederella in the Mediterranean Sea. S. laubieri n. sp. is clearly distinguished from the other two species of the genus, S. pauliani and S. berkeleyi, by the distribution of hooks and the dimensions of the parapodial appendices and anal cirri.
