We performed a detailed morphological examination of this newly-recorded wuvulid hydromedusa from Japan, based on three specimens from offshore of Okinawa Island. This species, identified as Wuvula ochracea, has thus far only been reported from off Florida, USA. The present study provides additional information on the morphology and ecology of this species.
