Two new species of Ceratonereis, C. limnetica and C. turveyi, are described from estuarine areas in New South Wales. Ceratonereis limnetica occurs in an upstream site where freshwater conditions predominate. The two new species belong to a group of Ceratonereis characterized by simple neurosetal falcigers. This group appears to have radiated within Australia.
