Vore Kundskaber til den nordiske Fauna hævedes mod Slutningen af det forrige Aarhundrede ved O. F. Müllers og O. Fabricii fortrinlige Arheider til en meget betydelig Höide. Derpaa fulgte hos os en Standsning i Videnskabens Udvikling i denne Retning. Lilteraturen frembyder derfor ikke andre Arbeider med Hensyn til de grönlandske Annelider end de, som skyldes Fabricius. Denne Forfatter har i Naturhistorie-Selskabets Skrifter 5te Bind 1799 og i Schriften der BerI. naturf. Freunde VI Band omstændeligere beskrevet og afbildet nogIe af de samme Arter, som ere beskrevne i hans Fauna groenlandica.
