As a part of my revisionary work on the aphroditoid polychaetes, a study was made of the members of the genus Hermenia Grube (Polynoidae: Lepidonotinae). Three species have been described previously, one of them both a homonym and a synonym. A new species is added herein, based on material previously confused with one of the currently recognized species.
