Paraprocerastea crocantinae, a new genus and species of Autolytinae (Syllidae: Polychaeta) from off Cabo de Creus and Cabo de Gata both on the Mediterranean coasts of Spain, is described. The new genus is discussed and compared with the remaining genera of Autolytinae. Finally, a key to the genera of Autolytinae is given.
