Description Carapace subquadrate, large, heavy, smooth with numerous pores; ventro-lateral rib prominent and sharp, ending posteriorly in a long spine and meeting a similar ridge running up the anterior margin and ending some distance along the dorsal margin; dorso-Iateral rib prominent and sharp, ending posteriorly at a sharp postero-dorsal spine; 0 anterior margin with numerous short, blunt denticulations; posterior margin with irregular strong spines; no subcentral tubercle; right valve with posterior tooth distinctly lobed.
