No abstract or summary. Begins: "No large collections of Polychaetes from the Gold Coast have previously been systematically studied, though a few records were noted by Augener (1918). The present Faunal Survey results from the examination of littoral collections, down to a depth of 51 metres, made by Mr. R. Bassindale in 1949-51. Important additional material has been collected by Mr. J. B. Buchanan. The author is grateful to these gentlemen for the privilege of studying these collections, through which the known geographical distribution of many species is extended. Altogether ninety-five records of Polychaetes from the Gold Coast are here reported, including two new to science. In the Systematic Section a key to all families, keys to genera and species where necessary and a glossary of terms used in the descriptions have been included. All previous records from the area have been noted although they may refer to species not examined here."
