La faune de polychètes de Murman avait été l'objet de la révision zoogéographique dans l'important ouvrage du prof. K. Deriugin sur la faune du Kola-fiord (1915). L'auteur y cite la présence de 110 espèces, envisagées comme un mélange de formes arctiques et boréales. Depuis lors et jusqu'au dernier temps l'on n'a pas fait d'additions notables.
