From editor or global species database
Editor's comment Morrow et al. 2012 erected this family within Agelasida to accomodate certain species of the genera Hymerhabdia, Prosuberites, Stylissa and Axinella, defined deductively by molecular sequences and inductively by enumeration of morphological characters found in the assigned species. We will have to await confirmation that this is indeed a monophyletic group and belongs to the order Agelasida. Assignment of species of the mentioned genera is not yet undertaken (they are still in their Systema Porifera position) and left to future confirming studies. [details]
