Habitat Globigerina ooze in a bothryoidal manganese nodule area, at abyssal depths (4125–4188 m). The very fine silty undisturbed sediments were semi-liquid in the top 2 cm, became progressively more compact in deeper layers, and were stiff and clayey beneath 7–10 cm. [details]
