Original spelling Cyrenelladae. Cyrenella Deshayes, 1836 was established in synonymy of Cyrenoida, and H. & A. Adams have probably introduced Cyrenoididae to replace Cyrenellidae (which, however, they did not cite). Cyrenoididae is in prevailing usage and is conserved under Art. 40.2, with the priority of Cyrenellidae (1853).
