Taxonomy Presumably De Laubenfels (1936: 186) includes Craticularia in this subfamily of his family Hexactinellidae. That (fossil) genus would necessitate this taxon to be named Craticulariinae. Moreover, the only genus De Laubenfels assigned to this subfamily, Tretorete, is considered to belong to the family Cribrospongiidae. [details]
