This monograph describes and revised the world fauna of the widely distributed, but to date poorly studied, family of polychaetes. The book presents data on the morphology, systematics, ecology, and the geographic distribution of this group fo animals. The problem of generic affiliations of paraonids with other families of polychaetes is discussed.
