Diagnosis Thalassometridae with as many as 20 arms, rounded aborally, but distal brachials sometimes with distal spine. Secundibrachials 2 or 4. Proximal brachials smooth or with lateral edges everted and tuberculate or serrated. First pinnule usually stout, large, and basally broadened. [details]
