Diagnosis T. springeri with smooth arms at least beyond their proximalmost part, arm syzygies with a regular radial crenularium, usually more than 11 (62%) internodals per noditaxis, relatively thick internodals (H/D > 0.40, up to 0.79 in juveniles), and cirri that are usually shorter than in the other subspecies.
