Gerlach, S. A. (1969). Cateria submersa sp. n., ein cryptorhager Kinorhynch aus dem sublitoralen Mesopsammal der Nordsee. Veröffenlichungen des Instituts für Meeresforschung in Bremerhaven. 12: 161-168.
note: Gerlach (1956, p.162) mentioned that he deposited the type material at NSIMB (= Nematodensammlung Institut für Meereskunde, Bremerhaven, Germany) under the catalogue numbers 301a (holotypes), 269b-g ...
Gerlach (1956, p.162) mentioned that he deposited the type material at NSIMB (= Nematodensammlung Institut für Meereskunde, Bremerhaven, Germany) under the catalogue numbers 301a (holotypes), 269b-g (11 paratypes on 6 slides), 269h-i (2 nontype juveniles). Later, S. Gerlach donated the paratypes to R.P. Higgins at the USNM. Higgins (1990) and the collection database of USNM reported about Gerlach's previous numbers 301d-g, so "269" probably represented a typographic error by Gerlach.
