Status The subspecies "marocanum" occurs in the NE-Atlantic and Mediterranean, while the nominal species H. sibogae occurs in the tropical Pacific Ocean only. This entirely disjunct distribution of the two population permits to regard "marocanum" as a full species. For biogeographic reasons, both are likely distinct species. [details]
